2 min read
Your outfit should compliment your look and add to the marketability of your headshot.
See below guidelines for GOOD outfit characteristics and BAD outfit characteristics for your Headshot Experience.
GOOD
Clothing that matches the theme of your photos.
Solid colored clothing. Neutral colors, soft tones, and colors that compliment your features are preferred.
Clothing that fits you well.
Clothing that is comfortable to wear (If you are uncomfortable in your outfit, you will look uncomfortable in your photos).
Clothing that is wrinkle, stain, and rip free.
Comfortable shoes. You will likely be standing during your photoshoot.
BAD
Clothing with logos / graphic designs.
Clothing with loud patterns such as stripes, checkerboards, etc.
Clothing with distracting colors.
Uncomfortable clothes (If you are uncomfortable in your outfit, you will look uncomfortable in your photos).
Notes on Jewelry / Accessories:
You may bring jewelry / accessories to your photoshoot if that is part of your look.
Whether or not you wear the jewelry or accessories during your photos is up to you.
If you bring jewelry or accessories with you to the photoshoot, that gives us the option to capture you with them on or without them on.
If you do not bring any accessories with you, we cannot shoot them.
General notes:
Try beforehand. Do a trial run with your chosen outfit at least one week before your photoshoot to ensure everything fits well and looks great. This will help you avoid any last-minute surprises on the day of the shoot.
